The Citizen Theatre was formed by local people and is working with local people.The Citizens Theatre is the major producing theatre for the west of Scotland. The theatre includes a 500-seat Main Auditorium, and two studio theatres, the Circle Studio (90 seats, a theatre in the round space) and the Stalls Studio (50 seats, an alley theater space).The Citizens Company was originally based at the Old Athenaeum in Buchanan Street and moved to the Royal Princess's theatre in 1945 when its name was changed from The Royal Princess’s to the Citizens Theatre.
