The Beer Cafe

Specialising in beer, the Beer Cafe is not the usual fare from large brewers or multinationals. The bar Offers local specialties that is more obscure in UK. Kolsch, eastern European, etc are some of the foreign beers that's on offer. The atmosphere is inviting and spacious to drink inside with great views of the world outside.

Little Italy

A completely Italian coffee house that offers pizza/pasta and located halfway along Byers Road in the West End. Have the best pizza and a coffee in the city. You will be taken by the friendly and efficient service. Get a friend to company you and sit there in people watching.

Tapa Coffee and Bakehouse

It is an organic bakery and cafe selling fresh, tasty food, with cosy atomsphere and friendly service. Marked for its cleanliness in the east end of Galsgow which is notorious for poor healthy surroundings.

Bradfords

On a grim day take an escape to the smell that is truely of Bradfords! If you are thinking for serious gourmets, this is not the place. But the taste of pineapple souffle is going to make you really nervous. Cakes, sandwiches and more substantial dishes are all homemade on site. Have the lace-doily tea at its finest. A really chi-chat place.

Willow Tea Rooms

Tucked away in a small lane in the former Glasgow Herald Building, Willow Tea Rooms is a must visit in the Glasgow area. This cofee shop stands as an icon of Scotland's Centre for Archetecture & Design. The admirers of Mackintosh will love its art deco interior, high back chairs and delightful teas. Revive yourself with an afternoon tea served by friendly and elegantly dressed waitresses in their rustling black satin uniforms with white aprons and tiny headbands.

A full breakfast had at Cafe Cherubini is like an enrgy booster to stand up all the day.You will get a Glasgow/Italian fusion cuisine at its best.

Tapa

Selling only organic and vegetarian products this coffee shop good at its best. The taste of Tapa own baked bread will never let you down, in fact they are fantastic in taste. Tapa made coffee, soups, ciabbattas, sandwiches and, specially cakes are highly recommended. Friendly and nice staff, good environment to dine inside, or even outside on the pavement, Tapa gives you an  unpretentious look.Indeed a must visit one!

Cafe Lave

Who dont like to have the feel of home where ever you go and especially in cafe? Cafe Leve in Glasgow is one such cafes that gives you a feel of a home by delivering you the delicacies of homecooking.Located on the fringes of the Merchant City near the law courts, Cafe Lava is a stylish alternative and good for meeting friends, perusing the papers and snacking on a sandwich made with bread baked on the premises. Order for those Stornaway black pudding and eggs Benedict. Taste the coffee that is some of the best in town, and the carrot cake which is best in Scotland.

Where the Monkey Sleeps

Located in the middle of the business district, this modern building is stylish and friendly bar. This bar and restaurent is popular with everyone- especially for sober-suited office workers checking in for some hearty sandwiches and students in search of hangover cures. There is a restaurent downstairs from where you can eat or in the bar. With a mix of Asian fusion and the laskas, food is something that will tickle your taste buds.

Breakfast choices range from traditional filled rolls (and not so: there's also haggis) to potato scones and porridge. The most popular sandwich is the Stoofa: a roast in a toast (or rather a ciabatta) with chicken, sage, thyme, balsamic, lemon juice and red onion. Added with live music beats from backgound this place is a perfect escape from the Friday evening crowds.

Lily's Coffee Shop

Although quiet a wee place, Lily's Coffe Shop is a top place to lunch with a fusing blend of east and west. You will have a good selection of lunch and snacks, soup and a sandwich which is tasty and filling. The fresh chinese food served with fruits and salads is outstanding.

Bar 91

Unlike other original style bars in Glasgow but certainly on the forefront, Bar 91 has remained popular with young local professionals for 15 years with its friendly, laid-back, neighbourhood vibe. By day, the bar serves excellent meals than the average pub foods. Much spacious inside, strange brass sculptures are installed into nooks and crannies of the warm red main space. At night, DJs and chatter brighten things up a bit.

Interesting things here on offer are: Sandwiches topped with interesting options like crispily barbequed duck and chilli or falafel and citrus salad, a good selection of pastas, and the specials, which feature dishes like crisp, gummily good crab cakes. In the evening you can wait to have a cheap selection of handmade pizzas.

Dhakin

With south Indian specialties Dhakin has created its own stand in the Glasgow's City centre. The food is all on offer is south Indian specialties. Highly preferred and recommended is 'Dosa', which is a crispy full stuff or a thali, only if you are hungry enough. The fragrance and the taste is all special about Indian dishes and sure to steel your heart.

The Wee Curry Shop

For over a decade The Wee Curry Shop has been one of Glasgow’s best loved little eating spots, with just 25 covers but a big reputation for simple, fresh curries and a down-to-earth approach. This one of the place outside India, where you will get high quality traditional home cooking using the freshest ingredients. The intimate atmosphere and open kitchens is much appreciated by diners. There are now three Wees in town, the two others on or near Byres Road.

Indicative menu: Murgh Aloo (chicken breast on the bone cooked with potatoes; buttered chicken cooked with cream and green cordomons; special vegetable curry with potato, carrot and green beans.

Cafe Gandolfi

Cafe Gandolfi has a history of long term run. Although it is a cafe, the atmosphere gives you a feel of a boutique. The food is expensive but tasty and above normal standard. The menu
serves up decadently induglent, truly delicious and fresh Scottish fare. The interior is amazing and worth a look for the furniture alone. Not worth a miss if you are in Glasgow.
